Retina Imaging
Available at all locations

Retina camera imaging is a critical component of your eye exam. The photo is extremely helpful in detecting early-stage eye health problems. Retina images are saved to your medical record. As changes occur to the eyes, photos are used to determine what changed and how quickly. Retina imaging helps the doctor detect and treat problems at an early stage as opposed to waiting for more advanced issues which can cause irreversible vision loss. Retina imaging replaces the need to have a dilated eye exam, in most cases.

OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) Imaging
Available at Meridian

OCT imaging is an amazing tool which can detect eye health problems at a very early stage that may otherwise go undetected (even with retinal photos). It may also be used to image moderate and advanced ocular diseases. It examines the macula and optic nerve with extremely high levels of detail. It does this by imaging all the different layers of the retina as opposed to just the most superficial layer. Your doctor may decide whether you should have a basic screener on the OCT. Depending on the results, it may be recommended to come back for further testing so that the doctor knows how to best manage your eye health.

VF 2000 NEO
Available at the Meridian

Great vision is more than whether or not you have 20/20 vision. Another important component of your vision is side or peripheral vision. Side vision is important for driving, sports and many other activities. Sometimes, eye problems can cause a person’s peripheral vision to be reduced. The VF 2000 NEO does an impressive job at testing side vision accurately. Getting an accurate reading of your side vision helps improve overall better patient care. It allows the doctor to get a better diagnosis as well as a better recommendation of available management options.
